Quick verdict
The design decision that matters is the metal hook - it hangs off the vent blade instead of squeezing it, so it does not creep loose on a hot dashboard. The catch is fit: the hook reaches a maximum of 1.4 inches, so deeply recessed or round turbine vents will not work.
A air-vent car phone mount that grips a vent blade with a steel hook covered in silicone pads rather than a spring clamp, holding phones from 4.0 to 7.2 inches even in thick cases, with one-hand quick release and 360-degree rotation.
Drivers with standard horizontal or vertical vent blades who want a cheap mount that stays put and takes one hand to load.
Cars with round or turbine-style vents, or vents set deep behind trim - the 1.4 inch hook will not reach. Also skip it if you want charging built in; this is a plain cradle.

Cheap and genuinely useful if you carry an iPhone with magnets: the pack clings to the back, the LED shows real percentage instead of four vague dots, and the built-in cable covers everything else. It is a small brand with about 1,400 reviews, so treat the two-year lifespan as unknown.
