Data we collect
Velodone does not require visitors to create an account to browse products or click affiliate links. We collect only two categories of data:
- Admin account data. Site administrators sign in with an email and password through Supabase Auth. We store the email address associated with the admin account so we can authenticate access to the product management dashboard.
- Anonymous click events. When a visitor clicks an outbound product link, we record the product slug and a timestamp in a database table. We do not record the visitor's IP address, browser fingerprint, or any personally identifiable information with this event.
How we use the data
Admin account data is used solely to authenticate administrators who publish and manage product content. Anonymous click events are used to understand which products receive outbound traffic, so we can improve the catalog and verify that affiliate links are working correctly. We do not use this data for advertising or user profiling.
Third-party services
Velodone relies on the following third-party providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication service, including admin accounts and click event records.
- Vercel hosts the website and may collect standard server logs for security and reliability purposes.
- Amazon Associates receives outbound traffic when visitors click product links. Amazon's privacy policy applies once a visitor leaves Velodone.
Cookies
Velodone does not currently use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts that identify individual visitors. Our hosting provider and authentication service may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site functional and admin sessions secure.
Sale of personal information
Velodone does not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties. We do not participate in data brokerage or advertising-based user profiling.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain data processing. Because Velodone collects very little personal data, most of these rights apply primarily to admin account holders. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the website.
