Quick verdict
The grease-cutting formula is the reason people keep buying Dawn, and the jug is the cheaper, less wasteful way to buy it - roughly 16 cents per fluid ounce. It is a refill, so you still need an empty bottle with a pump or cap to dispense it.
A 51.5-ounce refill jug of Dawn Ultra original blue dish detergent, with an easy-pour spout and a handle, intended to refill multiple standard or EZ-Squeeze bottles rather than throwing away a small bottle every few weeks.
Anyone who already uses Dawn and refills a countertop bottle, and kitchens that go through detergent quickly.
Anyone expecting a pump-top bottle - this is a plain jug. If you want a fragrance-free or dye-free detergent for sensitive skin, buy a different formula.

The sensible default for a house that goes through AA cells: 32 cents each, a decade of shelf life, and no drama. They are single-use alkaline, so if you burn through a pack every month, rechargeables will cost less within a year.

Unscented and extra large is the right call for sensitive skin, and 7 cents a wipe is fair. One caution worth taking seriously: 'flushable' is a manufacturer claim, and many plumbers still advise binning wipes rather than flushing them.
