Quick verdict
The $69 official stylus, 4.5 stars across 13k ratings — the standard first pencil for iPad notes, markup, and drawing.
Apple Pencil (USB-C) brings pixel-perfect precision, tilt sensitivity, and low latency to note-taking, document signing, and sketching. It pairs and charges over USB-C, stores magnetically on the iPad's edge, and works with iPad Air 4th gen and later, iPad 10th gen, iPad mini 6, and recent iPad Pro models — backed by Apple's warranty.
Students and professionals adding a first stylus to a recent iPad for notes, signatures, and sketches.
Illustrators who need pressure sensitivity (look at Pencil Pro / 2nd gen), or owners of older Lightning-era iPads.

Cheap and genuinely useful if you carry an iPhone with magnets: the pack clings to the back, the LED shows real percentage instead of four vague dots, and the built-in cable covers everything else. It is a small brand with about 1,400 reviews, so treat the two-year lifespan as unknown.
